Peacock is casting Love Island USA for season 9 and ongoing future seasons. The application portal is open year-round, with casting producers reviewing on a rolling basis. The current season (S8) premieres June 2, 2026 — see our season 8 preview.

Requirements

  • Single at the time of application and filming
  • At least 18 years old
  • US citizen or legally residing in the US with a valid passport
  • Able to commit to several weeks of continuous filming in Fiji
  • Available with no work or family conflicts during the filming window

What the show is looking for

Per the NBC Insider casting guide, the producers cast for two distinct archetypes: original Islanders (who arrive at the start of the season and anchor the season’s central narratives) and Casa Amor bombshells (who arrive mid-season to disrupt existing couples). The criteria for each are different.

Original Islanders are cast for season-long screen presence — people whose narratives can sustain six weeks of episodes. Casa Amor bombshells are cast for short-burst chaos — people whose arrival can immediately reshape the dynamics in the villa.

How to apply

The full application is at loveislandusa.castingcrane.com and is more involved than most reality TV applications:

  • 80+ written questions covering relationship history, dealbreakers, and lifestyle
  • Six photos (including specific full-body shots and natural-light face shots)
  • A 2-3 minute intro video

The video carries the most weight in the casting decision. The casting team is looking for camera comfort, conversational fluency, and the ability to be flirtatious without performing.

Tips

The application is long; do it in one sitting if you can. The casting team can usually tell when answers were copied from a friend’s submission. Be specific about what you actually want in a partner. Generic dating profile answers (“just looking for someone who makes me laugh”) are an automatic cut. The producers want narratives, not platitudes.
