First, your head: It's a question, not a verdict.
Don't take it personally and don't get defensive. Most people who ask have been burned before. You stay calm, you stay kind, and you follow the four steps.
People who are doing bad things accuse other people of doing bad things. People who are doing good things just do good things.Cyrus
Acknowledge it, ask for the screenshot
Agree that it would feel bad. Then ask to see what they saw.
You are on their side of the problem. If there is something online, we want to see it and fix it.
Ask if they researched us
“Did you have time to research us before this call?”
If they did, ask what they found. If they didn't, send realityshow.com/go/14 so they can see real people and real sites while you talk.
Ask how they feel
“Based on what you've seen and heard so far, how do you feel?”
Give them the choice out loud. Then be quiet and let them answer.
Keep going, or end it
If they want to keep going, pick up where you left off. If not, end it kindly.
If the accusations keep coming, get off the call. It is never worth it. Don't argue, don't prove, don't chase.
After the call
- Write it on their card: what they said and how it ended.
- If they sent a screenshot, send it to Cyrus in Messages so we can fix what is showing up.
- Then take the next call like this one never happened.
